Anger
Anger is a response to some type of stimuli. Whether that be a memory, a feeling, a situation, it is a response, and sometimes our reaction to that response can feel overwhelming and difficult to manage.
Occasionally our behavior to this response can create problems for us, such as:
legal issues
damaged/ended relationships
health concerns
This can lead to feelings of shame, guilt, resentment, and blame.
We can help by exploring the anger, and possibly uncovering a greater understanding of it. We can help develop a plan for how to manage the anger and experience where it is coming from and what to do with it. We can also assist you in developing skills for how to interpret situations that may have elicited the response of anger and how to think of them differently.
Ultimately, the hope is to develop a different way to interpret what might be happening and respond to it more effectively.
